Catalina believes in the power of partnering with communities to co-create products and services that truly meet their needs. At the heart of her work is a passion to build bridges that allow people from diverse backgrounds and experiences to connect, co-create and support one another. She believes that the solutions to some of our toughest problems lie dormant among our communities and are just waiting to be activated. With 10 years of experience in Design Strategy, Catalina leverages her expertise in Design and Business to solve complex challenges, transform systems and create social innovation. A mom to two girls, Catalina is passionate about making a positive impact in the world that she will leave behind for her daughters and generations to come.

Lana Tilley, Social Innovation Manager

Lana has spent nine years developing programs and advocating to address how poverty impacts families and children. She is passionate about studying, highlighting, and sustaining community-oriented solutions for gaps in our social support structure. She holds a MPH in Community Health Education from San Francisco State, and feels lucky to be a part of the innovative social justice work taking place in the region. As a Bay Area native, she also feels lucky to be able to take walks through the neighborhoods with her own grandmother each week.

Gwendolyne Traylor, Community Ambassador

Gwendolyne, also know as Sunny, is a 'rock and roll' grandma who wholeheartedly believes that it takes a village to raise a child. She was adopted and raised her kids as a single parent and understands the value of having an 'extended family'. She is an 'artivist', passionate about people, music and art. Previously taught art in Oakland Public Schools and now spends her time performing her music, raising awareness, helping others and spreading the word about the Gma Village. Gma Sunny is also a member of the Gma Village supporting low-income parents with their child care needs.
